Fees

I aim to provide a professional service which is fairly priced. I also afford a number of slots for clients who may be under financial pressure. Phone to discuss this further.

Services

Counselling

I provide support over shorter term or longer term, as is appropriate for the situation.

Shorter term would generally be 4 weekly sessions.

Longer periods are open-ended, based on mutual agreement.

I provide an environment that is safe, supportive, and confidential in which the client can explore their difficulties and work towards solutions and resolutions.

I have experience and expertise in working with

  • Addiction
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Sexual abuse
  • Bereavement
  • Anger management
  • Trauma in its many forms
  • Domestic violence
  • Relationship breakdown
  • Panic attacks
  • Suicidal ideation
  • Bullying
  • Loneliness
  • Self-esteem
  • Work and career challenges
  • Personal growth and development

You will find that it can be very helpful to talk things through with someone who is not involved in your everyday life.

If you feel that I can help you, then please get in touch.

Clinical Supervision

Clinical Supervision provides an opportunity for both supervisor and supervisee to

  • Forge a working alliance
  • Establish teaching and learning styles
  • Grow self-awareness
  • Develop skills and intervention
  • Create a professional practice in a safe and regulated environment

I have many years' experience as a Clinical Supervisor, and I feel that my training and philosophy allow me to forge a strong working alliance, allowing the unfolding of possibilities in a dynamic and actualising way.

My view is that supervisors are primarily facilitators of reflection, who allow, encourage and support supervisees to come to their own realisations and to learn from their own experiences, in their own learning style – the supervisor is not pushing them in any direction or enforcing any particular teaching on them.

Having a range of different models of supervision available within my philosophy has, I believe, helped me to be a more effective supervisor and to continue to grow in what I can offer to my supervisees. This in turn will, I hope, help them to give their clients as comprehensive and beneficial a service as possible, which is the most important consideration.
